Meeting Description

The online meeting started with a hearty welcome of all participants and a review of the meeting programme. The aims of the meeting were also clearly stated.
The meeting began with a summary of the desktop research done by the project consortium as part of O1. Zoltán Pete talked about the National reports from Hungary, Cyprus and Poland that were a result of an in-depth analysis of the regulations related to the organization of national skills competitions and qualification events for EuroSkills. The reports include information on the condition of VET in every partner country, the discrepancy between VET and EuroSkills standards, the recruitment procedures for skills competitions, the role of experts and judges, and finally the financial and management issues. Each report includes country specific recommendations.
The presentation was followed by a discussion which clarified the difference between sponsors and sub-sponsors of skills competitions; a suggestion to add the Hungarian recruitment procedure timeline for EuroSkills competition to the final Report was put forward and accepted by the project consortium.
O1 ends with a comparative analysis of the reports provided by project partners. Hungary, as the output leader, will prepare the Report on good practices related to the organization of national skills competitions and qualification events for EuroSkills (O1) by September 2020.
Project Coordinator prepared an overview of Output 2 and summarized its main assumptions. The scope of work related to the output was discussed, namely, the need to create the Skills tests for Plastering and Drywall Systems. Relevant materials and methods of work were also suggested.
The key aspects concerning the Dissemination seminars were discussed, namely, the format (webinar), approximate date (Autumn 2020), participants (VET teachers, vocational examiners), and expected outcomes (Skills tests for Plastering and Drywall Systems).
Due to the travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic project consortium decided to use webinars instead of traditional workshops to conduct the dissemination seminars.
The organization of the next project meeting is our main concern. The discussion revolved around  the location and the date of the 3rd TPM. The ongoing situation and the developments concerning the coronavirus pandemic are difficult to predict and consequently the final decision was postponed until the end of 2020.
Project Coordinator discussed the financial and management issues. The oncoming Progress Report requires from the partners to submit the following supporting documents: certificates of employment, timesheets, invoices, lists of dissemination activities, and boarding passes that cover the period from 11.2019 – 06.2020.
Coordinator intends to contact the NA regarding the money allocated to international meetings that was not spent due to coronavirus restrictions in travel. Additionally, the NA is to decide what to do with the budget for Dissemination seminars in case they need to be turned into webinars.
